Established in 2020, Accupixel is the brainchild of José Martínez Rubio and Simon Brown, two experts in the field of photogrammetry.
With José’s background in architectural photogrammetry and Simon’s experience in underwater applications, the two joined forces to form a company that would deliver cutting-edge photogrammetry solutions across a variety of industries.

Founders
José Martínez Rubio, Accupixel’s Technical and Course Director, is a respected authority in the field of photogrammetry. With over two decades of experience, José has held positions at the University of Valladolid and the University of Salamanca. In 2011, he founded Geobit Consulting SL, which specialises in laser scanning and drone use for mapping, and is the Agisoft Dealer for Spain.
Simon Brown, Accupixel’s Managing Director, discovered his passion for photogrammetry in 2014 while documenting underwater shipwrecks and aircraft crash sites. His work has been featured by prestigious organisations such as English Heritage, National Geographic, and UNESCO. In 2016, he founded Deep3D and has since become the UK dealer for UWIS underwater GPS products.
Simon’s talents were recognised in 2020 when he won the Royal Photographic Society Science Photographer of the Year award for his orthophoto of the SS Thistlegorm.
